Captain’s Log #15 – Track Shack Studios Easter Special
Track Shack Studios are bringing together DJs, promoters and collectives from across the South Coast for their Easter Special, a day of music that celebrates the strength of the local Drum and Bass community.
Crew,
From time to time an event comes along that reminds people what the Drum and Bass scene is really about.
It is not about competition.
It is not about ego.
It is not about who can shout the loudest online.
It is about community.
This Easter, Track Shack Studios are bringing that spirit to life with their Easter Special, a day that will bring together DJs, promoters and collectives from across the South Coast for a full session of music and good energy.
Events like this show why the grassroots side of Drum and Bass continues to stay strong year after year.
The Event
Saturday 4 April 2026
2pm to 11pm
The Venue at Fareham Town FC
The idea behind the Track Shack Studios Easter Special is simple. Bring the scene together and create a space where different crews can share the stage and celebrate the music they all care about.
The event starts earlier than the usual club night. The afternoon will begin with some house music to ease people into the day before the tempo begins to rise. As the evening moves forward, the Drum and Bass will take centre stage.

A Day Built on Collaboration
One of the strongest parts of this event is the number of collectives involved.
Instead of one promoter running the entire show, several crews have come together to make the Easter Special happen.
The collectives involved include:
Track Shack Studios
TDS
ADHDnB
Substance Sounds
Midnight Massacre
Pirate Rave Productions
The Prang8Seven and Dunn Show
Each of these groups plays a role in keeping the South Coast Drum and Bass scene active.
Some focus on events.
Some support DJs and producers.
Some help promote and share the music through shows and platforms.
When groups like this come together, the result is something much bigger than a normal event. It becomes a gathering for the wider community.
The Headline Set
Headlining the day is Hannibal, a DJ who has spent years building a strong reputation within the scene.
As a long time resident for OAM, Hannibal has supported some of the biggest names in Drum and Bass, including Andy C and Pendulum. His sets are known for their energy and strong tune selection.
Anyone who has seen him play before will know he brings a proper mix of experience and passion to the decks.
Expect big tunes and a dancefloor that stays moving.
Pirate Rave Productions Representing
Pirate Rave Productions will also be part of the line up on the day.
Being involved in events like this means a lot to the PRP crew because it reflects what the Fleet is all about.
Working alongside other promoters.
Supporting the wider community.
And helping keep Drum and Bass moving forward in Portsmouth and the surrounding areas.
Sharing the stage with crews such as Substance Sounds, ADHDnB and Track Shack Studios shows the respect that exists across the scene.
It is not about one group trying to outdo another. It is about everyone playing their part.
Why Events Like This Matter
Large events and festivals often get the most attention, but the truth is that Drum and Bass has always grown from the ground up.
Smaller community events are where DJs develop their skills.
They are where promoters learn how to build and run nights.
They are where new music is tested and where crowds discover artists they may never have heard before.
Every big name in the scene started somewhere, and most of them began in rooms very similar to this.
That is why gatherings like the Track Shack Easter Special are important.
They help keep the culture moving.
Keeping It Accessible
Another great thing about this event is the way it has been organised to keep it open to everyone.
Entry is available through free ticket registration, with the option to give a one pound charity donation.
This approach helps make sure the event remains welcoming and accessible for anyone who wants to come along and support the music.
That attitude reflects the spirit that has always been part of the Drum and Bass community.
Track Shack Studios
Track Shack Studios themselves have become an important creative space within the South Coast music community.
Behind the scenes, studios like this are where DJs practise their sets, producers work on new tracks and artists experiment with new ideas.
When those artists step onto a stage at events like this, it is the result of hours of work that has happened away from the spotlight.
It is where the energy from the studio finally meets the dancefloor.
Looking Ahead
The Track Shack Studios Easter Special is more than just a day of music.
It is a reminder of what keeps the Drum and Bass scene strong.
People supporting each other.
Crews working together.
And a shared love for the music.
When collectives from across the South Coast come together like this, it shows that the scene is alive and continuing to grow.
For Pirate Rave Productions, being part of events like this reflects exactly what the Fleet stands for.
Supporting the culture.
Working alongside other collectives.
And continuing to push Drum and Bass forward.
See you on the dancefloor.
